Marvel Cars collects you from the ferry ports of Attica, Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio, and drives you to the car at no charge. Handover is at one of three points on the Athens Riviera: Glyfada, Voula or Vouliagmeni. Piraeus is about 15 km and 25 minutes from that stretch of coast and Rafina about 40 km and 45 minutes, so a boat that docks in the evening still ends with keys the same night. There is no desk to walk to and no minimum rental period. Tell us the sailing and which car you want, and the offer comes back with the pick-up time already in it.
Piraeus is the large one, with sailings to most of the Aegean and gates spread along a long quay. Rafina serves Andros, Tinos and Mykonos and sits closer to the airport than to the city. Lavrio covers Kea and Kythnos. We collect from all three.
Pick-ups run between 09:00 and 21:00, seven days a week. Ferry timetables move, so tell us the sailing when you ask for the offer and we work the pick-up around it rather than around a counter's opening hours.
Most port bookings are one of two trips. You dock at Piraeus after a week on an island and want a car for the mainland: we meet the boat, drive you down the coast and hand the car over, and from there Nafplio is two hours, Delphi two and a half, Corinth one. Or you are sailing out, in which case you hand the car back at Glyfada, Voula or Vouliagmeni and we run you to the quay in time for the boat.
Marvel Cars vehicles are for public roads inside Greece. Taking one out of the country needs our written consent first, which is set out in the rental terms.
A week on an island comes back as a lot of luggage, so the large SUVs do most of this work. The Range Rover Vogue and the Mercedes GLE 350de AMG Line each take four people and their cases in one trip, and the GLE is a diesel hybrid, which suits a week of longer mainland drives.
The Range Rover Sport and the Audi Q8 are close to the same size for less per day. The Jeep Wrangler Sahara is the one people pick for a summer week on the mainland, 340 hp with the roof panels out, on public roads like every car we rent.
From the handover points, Piraeus is about 15 km and 25 minutes back up the coast, Athens centre is a similar run inland, and the Corinth Canal is roughly an hour west. From Rafina, Athens International Airport is nearer than the city centre, which is why a boat out and a flight home often share one booking.
The rate holds whichever port you sail from and however far you drive in between, because a booking is priced on time alone. VAT, Collision Damage Waiver and third-party liability are in the daily figure, the tank is full at both ends, and the security deposit for your vehicle is stated in the offer. Yes, on any domestic sailing, as long as it is agreed before you collect the car. Tell us the route when you request the offer and it is written into it. The Collision Damage Waiver and third-party liability that come with every rate stay in force on board and on the island, with nothing to extend and nothing to add. No minimum rental period applies here either.
At the gate your boat comes into, agreed against the sailing rather than fixed. The gates are spread around the harbour and the right one depends on the route, so send us the boat and the arrival time with your dates and we name the gate in the offer. Voula is about 15 km and 25 minutes from there.
Yes, and both transfers are free. We meet the flight and drive you to the car; a week later you hand it back at Glyfada, Voula or Vouliagmeni and we run you to the quay. Give us the flight and the sailing when you request the offer.
No, and neither is the run back to it. Collection from Piraeus, Rafina or Lavrio is included, as it is from anywhere else in Athens, and so is the drive from the handover point to the quay when you sail. The offer carries the daily rate and the security deposit, and nothing is added at the handover.
