Every Marvel Cars rental starts on the Athens Riviera. There are three handover points, Glyfada, Voula and Vouliagmeni, you pick whichever suits the day, and the car comes back to one of the three at the end. Reaching it is our problem rather than yours: we collect you from any address in Athens, from the airport or from a ferry port, and the lift costs nothing. There is no minimum rental period, so an afternoon on the coast road counts as a booking. The choice runs from a Porsche 718 Boxster with the roof down to a Range Rover Vogue with the family in it, across 27 cars.
Glyfada, Voula and Vouliagmeni sit within about ten kilometres of one another along Poseidonos Avenue, so whichever you choose you are already on the coast when you take the keys. Tell us which one at the offer stage and the address goes in writing before you confirm.
You do not have to make your own way there. We collect you from wherever you are in Athens, a hotel, a house, an office, Athens International Airport or the ferry ports, and that transfer is free. Handovers and returns run between 09:00 and 21:00, seven days a week.
The return works the same way in reverse. The car goes back to Glyfada, Voula or Vouliagmeni, which need not be the point you started from, and we then drive you on to wherever you are going next, an Athens address, the airport or a ferry port, again at no charge.
Roof down is what most people are asking for. The Porsche 718 Boxster is a 300 hp two-seater with a roof that folds in nine seconds, light enough that the stretch past Varkiza feels built for it. The BMW M4 Competition is the same idea with 600 hp and a good deal less subtlety.
With four people aboard, the Porsche Cayenne Coupe E-Hybrid covers the same road without the wind, and the Range Rover Vogue does it quietly enough to take a call. Both are hybrids, which the stop-start stretch through Glyfada in summer rewards. The rest of the sportscars and SUVs are below with their current rates.
Voula to Cape Sounion is about 50 km and 50 minutes with the water on your right the whole way, and the car park below the Temple of Poseidon is the turnaround. Lake Vouliagmeni is minutes from the Vouliagmeni handover point and warm through the winter. Astir Beach, Kavouri and the Glyfada marina sit inside the same short radius.
Further out, the Corinth Canal is about 80 km and an hour, and Nafplio is 140 km and two hours for a night in the old town. A full day of any of that costs the same as a day parked outside the hotel, because the price follows the clock and not the odometer. Fuel is the only variable: the car arrives with a full tank and comes back with one.
